Kampong Chhnang Provincial Governor Plans to Build 16 Kilometers of Public Parks Along River

PHNOM PENH: The Governor of Kampong Chhnang province, Sun Sovannarith, has stated that the province plans to set up a 16-kilometer public park along the river in the future.

"If we set up a 16-kilometer park, I think it will be a great honor for my province," he said.

This project was announced by Governor Sun Sovannarith in the press conference recounting the achievements made in the past five years by the Kampong Chhnang Provincial Administration at the Office of the Council of Ministers on Thursday afternoon, 26 January 2023.

He said that this project may start in 2023 or 2024 after the initial process of laying concrete is complete. He added that he would ask for the Royal Government to name the 16-kilometer public park.

The Governor of Kampong Chhnang province also shared that the province plans to build a garden in Boeung Thom in front of Wat Yeay Tep, which has a land area of 2,000 hectares.
